Do you have dreams itching to become reality? For years I taught a course about finding your dharmic path and starting on it. The heart of the experience was joining a small cohort of fellow dreamers, which brought feedback, commitment, and accountability needed to execute big steps. I loved teaching this course for PUGS. To do it again, we would need at least 8 people, preferably more, to want to do it together. Below is a description of the course, which led to transformative career changes for many students:
You are more powerful than you know. In fact, you have the ability to deeply impact your community and the world. Not only do we all possess unknown capabilities and untapped potential, we live in an age where anyone can create ideas and innovations that transform society and culture. So why not you?
This course is designed to ignite your own positive, internal revolution — a revolution that may very well spread far beyond you. It is based in part on Seth Godin's altMBA, a $3,000 online program, and it aims to launch those on the cusp of something big to places light years beyond their status quo.
At its core, Catalyst Course is about learning to take discerning action toward your goals. It will require a significant amount of work. But with the support of others pursuing the same end, you will begin to master the art of purposeful change; you will overcome the obstacles of inertia and the addiction to struggle; and you will become the change-maker that you are.
Ready to be ignited?Week 1: This and Goal Setting. What do you want to do? What change do you want to make? What are the steps, resources, challenges you need to think through?
Week 2: Enlisting Others, Growing a Movement. Almost any change involves getting others on board. What attracts people to an idea, your idea? How do you build community around doing something great?
Week 3: The Beauty of Constraints. Time, money, and resources are always constrained. Instead of seeing that as a limitation, can you use it as a way of making your thing even better?
Week 4: The Right Questions and Decision Making. How do you decide? What's the right way to move forward? Ask the right questions and a path opens.
